📢 1. Blog Analysis
Major Change (Exam Pattern): Unlike previous years where selection was based solely on Diploma marks, BTSC has introduced a **Computer Based Test (CBT)**. The final merit will likely be calculated as: **75 Marks (CBT Score)** + **25 Marks (Experience/Contractual Weightage)**. Candidates must start preparing for the written exam.
📖 2. 40% Reservation Rule
Bihar Govt Polytechnic Quota:
- 40% of total seats are reserved strictly for students who have passed their Diploma from Government Polytechnic Colleges within Bihar.
- 60% seats are “Open” for all (Private colleges of Bihar + Other State candidates).
- This makes the cutoff significantly lower for Bihar Govt Polytechnic students.
🎯 3. Important Documents
1. AICTE Approval: Ensure your college/university is AICTE approved. Distance mode diplomas are generally **NOT** accepted.
2. Caste/NCL: BC/EBC candidates must upload a valid **Non-Creamy Layer (NCL)** certificate issued by the Circle Officer (CO) of Bihar.
3. Residential: Domicile certificate is mandatory to claim reservation benefits.
