Recruitment Structure: DRDO CEPTAM 11 is a golden opportunity for Diploma and ITI holders. The recruitment is split into two distinct cadres:
1. STA-B (Group B): This is a high-paying supervisory role (Level-6). Selection is based on Tier-1 (Screening) and Tier-2 (Final Selection).
2. Tech-A (Group C): This is a support role (Level-2). Selection is based on Tier-1 (CBT) and a Qualifying Trade Test.
📖 2. Exam Pattern & Selection
For STA-B (Diploma/B.Sc):
- Tier 1 (Screening): 120 Questions (Quant, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, General Science). Marks do NOT add to merit.
- Tier 2 (Selection): 100 Questions (Specific to your Engineering Discipline). Final Merit is based ONLY on Tier 2.
For Tech-A (ITI):
- Tier 1 (CBT): Section A (40 Qs – Quant/Reas/Eng/GK) + Section B (80 Qs – ITI Trade Theory). Final Merit is based on Tier 1.
- Tier 2 (Trade Test): Practical skill test (Qualifying nature).

1. STA-B Candidates: Do not ignore Tier 1. You must clear the high cutoff (usually 110+/120 for Gen) just to sit for Tier 2. However, devote 70% of your time to your core engineering subject for Tier 2.
2. Tech-A Candidates: Your Section B (Trade Theory) carries 80 marks. Master your NCVT/SCVT trade books (Nimi Pattern) thoroughly.
3. Negative Marking: There is usually **No Negative Marking** in CEPTAM exams (check admit card instructions to confirm), so attempt all questions.
