📢 Blog Analysis
Fee Refund Policy: The ISRO ISTRAC recruitment is a fantastic opportunity, but candidates should take special note of the fee structure. The total payment includes a processing fee (₹ 500 for Assistants, ₹ 400 for Technicians/Cooks) which will ONLY be refunded to candidates who actually appear for the Written Test or Computer Based Test. Additionally, while appointments are termed temporary initially, the organisation clearly states that these posts are likely to continue.
📖 Syllabus & Exam Pattern
- Written Test (Technical/Scientific/Draughtsman/Technician): Comprises 80 Objective MCQs to be solved in 1.5 hours.
- Written Test (Cook-A): Comprises 60 MCQs to be solved in 1.5 hours.
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries +1 mark, with a negative marking of -0.33 marks for every incorrect answer.
- Skill Test: Conducted purely on a go-no-go (qualifying) basis for 100 marks. General candidates need 50/100 marks to qualify, while reserved category candidates need 40/100.
🎯 Strategy
Action Plan: Your strategy must heavily revolve around accuracy. With a stringent negative marking of 1/3rd for wrong answers, guessing can heavily penalize your final score. Ensure your technical fundamentals (for ITI/Diploma holders) are rock solid, as the 80 MCQs will deeply test your trade/subject knowledge. Simultaneously, start practicing hands-on practical work for your specific trade, as clearing the Written Test means nothing if you fail the 100-mark go-no-go Skill Test.
