Provisional Status: Many candidates might find a “P” next to their roll number. This means your result is **Provisional**. You must submit the missing documents (usually Internship Completion Certificate or Caste Certificate) to the commission immediately, or your candidature will be cancelled.

📖 2. Internship & Joining

Crucial Rule:

  • Candidates who have not yet completed their compulsory rotating internship are recommended provisionally.
  • You will be appointed only after you submit the **Original Internship Completion Certificate**.
  • The marksheet of all candidates (qualified or not) will be available on the UPSC website within 15 days.

🎯 3. Reserve List

Waitlist: UPSC also maintains a Consolidated Reserve List. If you missed the main list by a small margin, keep checking the website for the “Reserve List Recommendation” which is usually released after 6 months to fill unfilled vacancies.
